Friendship That Will Last
What I truly admire from my friends are their truth to our friendship. Although some of us might have grown distant and become accustomed to our new situations in our lives (marriage, school, jobs) leaving no room for a down time to hang out, they put the extra effort to call or text or drop by on facebook to say hi or see what’s going on or how you’re doing. There are certain people in my life that we cannot see each other and maybe once a month to make that effort to have a coffee or lunch to rekindle our friendship. And if that cannot be arranged, no matter the time, I get giddy to see a message or call from them. That’s when you know friendship is worth more than a hang-out. A simple thought allows us to realize what kind of friendship we truly have with each other. I, for one, do my part to even say to my friends that I cannot hang out at the moment with in a simple text, “Good morning, Friend. Have a great day. Miss you.”
That is dedication; that is friendship.
This post is dedicated to those in my life who do just that. Thank you for your effort to allow our friendship to flourish through the years. You will never be forgotten and will always be embraced in my heart.
